Full view & don't steal. Khedija is the OC of *Fahlaemee, and this work is intended for her use, and hers alone.
And if some one were to drag him violently up the rough and steep ascent from the chamber, and refuse to let him go till he had drawn him out into the light of the sun, would he not, think you, be vexed and indignant at such treatment, and on reaching the light, would he not find his eyes so dazzled by the glare as to be incapable of making out so much as one of the objects that are now called true?

AHHHHH IT'S DONE. This is an entry for the lovely *Fahlaemee's contest, here. The theme was "Space and Time", and had to incorporate one of her OC's (which are all faaaaab). However, i've been wanting to try my hand at Khedija for a while, so...voila :3Space and Time
Being a Philosophy major, I get a little metaphysical when it comes to space and time >.> This image is based off of Plato's Allegory of the Cave, from The Republic. The 1 minute explanation, is that the allegory is meant to illustrate what the limits of our knowledge might be, and what an impossible task it would be, if someone were to have 'true' knowledge, and tried to spread that information to the masses (think Neo coming into the Matrix and telling them it wasn't real). In the allegory, he conjures images of people who are only able to stare forward, and who have an eternal fire burning behind them, casting shadows on the wall before them. There is a bridge behind them, with all manner of creatures and people who cross - casting vague and odd shadows onto the wall. For those constrained before the fire, the shadows are reality. Plato then goes on to wonder what would happen were someone to break free, and see the true sun for the first time - what he might think of it, and what the consequences would be of trying to explain/share this information with the others. Thus, I have pictures Khedija in her own cave of sorts; veiled from both time and space, in the vastness of the cavern. However, even in this cave, she has found a stream of light - of truth - to follow.

This backgroundOh i'll just blend together some images to make a cave. It won't be hard >.> I did use the same image multiple times, so even though I've only credited the provider once, most images were reused multiple times.
